WVUniverse presents “From cellulose to the sun: how ancient trees are changing what we know about solar storms”

WVUniverse presents "“From cellulose to the sun: how ancient trees are changing what we know about solar storms” will feature Prof. Amy Hessl of the West Virginia University Department of Geology and Geography. 

Dr. Hessl uses the environmental information stored in the growth rings of trees to study climate variability, ecosystem processes, and human activities over the last 2000 years.

She will join us on February 7, 2025 at 6:30 PM in G09 White Hall on the downtown WVU campus. The talk is free and open to all ages.

WVUniverse is a series of public outreach talks exploring different scientific topics with an audience of all ages in mind. These talks are open to all and conclude with a fun trivia game with a chance to win prizes. No reservations are required. All are welcome!
