WVUniverse presents "Technosignatures, Biosignatures, Oh, My! Searching for Extraterrestrial Civilizations"

The first WVUniverse talk of 2025 will feature Dr. Joseph Lazio of California Institute of Technology (Caltech). Lazio is also Project Scientist, Sun Radio Interferometer Space Experiment at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).

“Technosignatures, Biosignatures, Oh, My! Searching for Extraterrestrial Civilizations” will dive into technosignatures which are measurable signs of past or present technology that may indicate the existence of intelligent life beyond Earth. 

Biosignatures are any elements, isotopes, molecules, or phenomena that provides scientific evidence of past or present life on a planet. 

WVUniverse is a series of public outreach talks exploring different scientific topics with an audience of all ages in mind. These talks are open to all and conclude with a fun trivia game with a chance to win prizes. No reservations are required. All are welcome!
