Tim uses radio observations to study regions of active star-formation called "HII regions" within the Milky Way. These observations are used to characterize the distribution, motion, and temperature of the gas, which gives insight into how stars form and the structure and evolution of the Milky Way. Tim has also been the Graduate Assistant for the WVU Planetarium since June 2021.
